This Christmas is going to be a little different this year for many families, what have you got planned?

As we probably won’t be visiting a grotto like normal, we’re going all out on decorating the house this year. The children are having a mini tree in their bedroom as well as the big one! I also might try to turn one of our rooms into a little Santa’s grotto for a day. We’re going to have two Christmas celebrations, one with each set of grandparents, so the children are doubly excited!

What are your favourite Christmas traditions?

One of my favourites is watching Home Alone with my dad - every year we laugh like we’ve never seen it before! I’ve also started to get the children new PJs for Christmas Eve and some Didi and Bud sets (from £20) are top of the list at the mo.

Who’s gift are you most looking forward to choosing this year and what have you got planned?

Ada will be 6 months old at Christmas and she’s on the move a lot. A Totter and Tumble playmat (from £125) has been on my wish list for a long time as they are so practical but also super stylish! Ada rolling around is finally the excuse I needed, so she’s going to get one for Christmas - now I just have to decide which one!

What’s your decorating style?

In the past, my Christmas decorating style has been to throw everything up at the last minute when the kids are asleep! I’m hoping to put a bit more thought into it this year though. @styletheclutter is my decor crush so I’m hoping to emulate her gorgeous home!

What’s the one thing that makes Christmas, Christmassy for you?

A games night with our oldest school friends in front of a roaring fire. Something we’ll be doing via Zoom this year!

Quick fire round!

Breakfast first or stocking first? Stocking first whilst sipping a Buck’s Fizz!

Roses or Quality Street? Both?!

Sprouts? Love them!

And finally, what are you hoping to find in your stocking this year?

A little fairy who puts all the clean laundry away for me instead of walking past it on the stairs.
